All of these were captured since March 13, 2020 the day that Governor Tim Walz declared a state of emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. They are intended to be visual metaphors for our ever-changing quarantine moods rather than a projection of human emotions onto these creatures. They, of course, are just going about their lives. For most of the non-humans around us, it's been business as usual. I've found some comfort in witnessing that.
